A B2 bomber, you know one of those ultimate stealth bombers, crashed this morning in Guam. Guam is an island in the Western Pacific and is a territory of the United States.
According to Fox news who reported the story first, the B2 bomber crashed shortly after take off. According to Air force officials there has never been a crash of a b2 bomber before. There were two pilots on board the aircraft and both were recovered in good health. Apparently the aircraft navigation system malfunctioned and then the pilots ejected. The b2 bomber crashed as it was taking off top come to the United States after a 4 month deployment to the Pacific. After the crash, other bombers that were part of its fleet were grounded. There were no injuries reported from the crash that cost American taxpayers 1 billion dollars. The b2 bomber really is an expensive aircraft. The bombers on Guam were scheduled to return to Missouri. The particular bomber has been used in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq.
