According to the chillicothe gazette there was a crash on Ohio 207 last night and two people died. It was a graphic car accident, two vehicles with opposite direction collided head on. The accident involved a prisoner transport vehicle and from the accident one person was trapped in the vehicle that was engulfed in flames.
According to the Ross County Sheriff, a prisoner, a passenger of the transport vehicle was trapped and perished in the flames. The driver of the other vehicle also lost his life. The chillicothe gazette did not report many more details about this horrific crash, just that the accident was being investigated by the State highway Patrol. The chillicothe gazette did mention that the weather was bad, with flooding and tornado warnings issued for Eastern Ross County.
In regards to the weather, the gazette of chillicothe has posted that the Red Cross has shelter on standby just in case anyone needs it. It will be at the West Side Nazarene Church, 730 Orange street.
