Christina Mae Watson is a homicide victim. She was murdered while diving with her husbandd in the Great Barrier Reef in off the coast of Australia.
Christina Mae Watson was 26 years old and had just gotten married with David Gabriel Watson or
Gabe Watson.
The couple was from Alabama and was married for 11 days before the murder happened in October 2003. Christina Mae Watson was murdered by her husband by turning her air supply off. After he confirmed her death he turned it back on. The murderer was claiming his innocence all these years. There was a formal investigation that followed and a coroner confirmed that Gabe Watson was the murderer. As a result Daniel Gabriel Watson was convicted for murdering his wife
Christina Mae Watson. The accused from Birmingham Alabama, did not appear in court today to hear the judge but police presented video recordings made during interviews. All this time he claimed that his wife panicked during the dive and pulled her air supply on her own. The whole situation was fishy from the beginning. Police did catch a whiff of the stench. The now convicted murderer said that although he saw his wife sinking he didn’t save here because he panicked as well. He deserted her and went to get help. Police didn’t believe that because
Gabe Watson was an experienced diver with many diving courses under his belt. There was even a witness in the whole situation who managed to capture a photograph of Watson leaving his wife lying dead on the sea floor.
Christina Mae Watson’s family claimed that her husband had asked her to make him the sole beneficiary and increase her life insurance not long before the wedding.
