Tutela Valui a phrase that is surrounded by mystery. What does it mean? It all started, the hype about the phrase began with a report from the New York Post about the former governor girl, Ashley Alexandra Dupre. According to the report she has a tattoo on her belly that says “tutela valui”. It is a Latin phrase and there is a considerable amount of debate going on regarding its meaning. The NY Post translated it as ‘fair value’ but others seem to disagree. You are probably thinking….isn’t the whole Eliot Spitzer prostitution scandal old news? Well yes it would have been if Ashley Dupre didn’t make an appearance on a New Jersey beach yesterday. The 23-year-old Dupree and her mother turned heads as they relaxed on Sea Girt’s beach in Monmouth County, tanning in their string bikinis. The whole scandal surrounding Dupree was exposed in March. She was a $4,000 call girl for Emperors Club VIP and one Governor Spitzer’s favourites. Anyhow, back to the phrase Tutela Valui. People are claiming that there is no accurate translation of the phrase. Lets break it down, a loose translation of the word Valui means in Latin, to be healthy/well or strong. What makes things complicated is the word tutela. The word cannot be translated directly can only be translated in context. The phrase tutela valui could translate something along the lines of wellness because of the/my protector. Others are saying that it could translate protected and well depending on the context. What could possibly bring things in context is the placement of the tattoo. Dupre has the tattoo on the bottom of her stomach so if that is taken in consideration the word protection might have a different meaning. Till this point, no one has contacted a Latin professor to determine the meaning of the phrase tutela valui and therefore the tattoo’s meaning will remain a mystery. The problem with tattoos that I find is that sometimes they change when the body changes for example. usually with tattoos in the stomach area what happens is that when the person looses weight or gains weight the shapes and colors of the tattoo change. Thats one of the negative side effects of weight loss and taking weight loss pills. The problem with taking weight loss pills and tattoos is that the ones that actually work, the weight loss pills that cause rapid weight loss like phentermine for example will allow for a lot of excess skin to stay there and the tattoo to ruin until the skin from the weigh loss is stretched again. Therefore weight loss pills can cause a tattoo nightmare. Phentermine especially because it can cause rapid weight loss. The tattoo altering effects of phentermine and other diet pills should be listed in the official list of Negative side effects from Phentermine. These negative side effects could cause serious damage to tattoos. people like Ashley Alexandra Dupre who have tattoos should learn about these things before they get fat and they try to loose weight and thus ruin their tattoos.
