1. Get a cat or two….ok jocking aside there are ways to do so.
2. The suriphobe must realize that the fear is triggered by a socially conditioned response rather than a disorder. If you think about it, the suriphobe is much bigger than the mouse, and if the situation becomes serious, if it comes down to survival, if the suriphobe needs to take action, they can always step on the mouse.
In extreme cases the suriphobe can feel the effects of the phobia even when seeing a mouse from a distance or even on television. Unfortunately there is no medication for the suriphobe, but it could be cured with therapy.
These phobias are fascinating. I knew people are afraid of mice but I didn’t know that went on to that extent.
