Jumbolair is a name that could be synonymous to luxury. Jumbolair Aviation Estates is the largest and perhaps the most exclusive community in the United States that is connected to the rest of the world via airstrip. Yes, it has the biggest private airstrip in the country. In other words Jumbolair Aviation Estates, could be correctly characterized as a fly-in community. Jumbolair was and is being developed by owner of the estates, Terri Jones-Thayer, an accomplished and very experienced pilot. The idea behind Jumbolair Aviation Estates was conceived by Terri Jones and her former husband Arthur Jones. The runway which is the centerpiece of this luxurious and highly exclusive estate is 7,550′ x 210′ wide and is the largest private runway in a residential area in the country. It stands out from other fly-in communities because Jumbolair homes have separate roads and taxiways. What does that mean? It means that when you land your aircraft in the runway and you are on your way home to park your airplane you won’t have to worry coming across the neighbors repair truck or their car going shopping. Jumbolair is a private, gated community that will most definitely exceed your expectations. Aside from the fact that you can fly there and back with absolutely no worries while there you can enjoy the areas natural beauty. Jumbolair is Americas premier aviation community and the project has taken flight. Imagine how nice it would be to not have to worry about commuting long distances, waiting in line ups in the airport for hours, check in your liggadge and all the other pains associated with flying. All you need to do is jump in that plane of yours and take off, literally. Go for that business meeting in Chicago, fly to New York for the lunch meeting and still make it home to Florida in time for dinner. The Jumbolair Aviation Estates runway is the world’s largest licensed private airport. You can bring your friends too with a 707….

The world’s largest residential airpark is the Spruce Creek Fly-in. Home to over 1300 residences in a private, gated village.

From a recent article:

Nested in Northeast Florida, a few miles south of Daytona Beach and NASCAR’s epicenter, the Daytona International Speedway, lies one of the most unique residential communities in the world.

The Spruce Creek Fly-in Community is the world’s most famous residential airpark. With a 4,000 ft lighted runway and a GPS approach, the private airport at the center of the community can accommodate anything from a Stearman to a Gulfstream.

Originally a navy airfield during WWII, it evolved into the world’s largest residential fly-in community. Today, almost 5,000 residents, 1,300 homes and 700 hangars share a unique life in this private gated village with immaculately groomed homes and common grounds. The first thing a visitor sees after driving through the security gates is a sign that summarizes the spirit of this community: “CAUTION Children and Adults at Play”. Truly a piece of pilot’s heaven.

A championship golf course and Country Club and 24-hr patrolled security complements the safety, privacy and enjoyment of our residents. Frequent community-wide events and social clubs for most any interest from flying to book reading and gardening ensure a tightly knit and friendly community hard to duplicate anywhere. John Travolta and many other celebrities have enjoyed the Spruce Creek Fly-In lifestyle and privacy. Current home prices vary from a $165,000 condo to several million dollar hangar mansions.

Please keep in mind that any visits are by invitation only, as the community is not open to the public. If you are interested in real estate at the Spruce Creek Fly-in, contact us for an invitation and we will happily schedule a guided tour (http://www.flyinrealty.com).
